Asus maximus hero vi driver installation help

Last response: in Motherboards

I'm going to be building my first computer soon. I have watched a couple of tutorials and I have a question about the drivers. I know I need the chipset, LAN, USB, and audio drivers, but there are a lot of other drivers. Are there any others that I should install? I'm new to this and I don't know what a lot of these things do. Thank you for you time and help.

My personal method for initial setup involves only installing the LAN driver from the motherboard's CD. Once on-line I do my OS install then I am able to get the latest and greatest drivers from the hardware manufacturers as needed.

My problem is I don't really know what drivers I should get besides the four that I mentioned and I was hoping someone could help me out with that. I have the 4 I mentioned on a flash drive at the moment to install once the os was up and going on the pc (that is what was recommended to me to do).

Before I begin to bore you here, are you intending to use an open source OS (Linux) or Windows?

I would be using Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit - OEM.

Windows does take care of 99% of your driver needs during it's install. Some hardware such as graphics cards require a specialized driver not present in windows so you would use the included driver (usually on CD) for it's install. Then, as soon as your OS is going, you'll want to go to the hardware manufacturers website to get the latest drivers (no telling when the included CD was made).
The installation of Windows is very straight forward and meant to be intuitive so I'll suggest simply attempting your install and if you do run into issues or have questions, to start an "urgent" thread then

Okay so I got the computer built and installed the asus drivers via the cd, but I need to update them now. When I looked at the asus maximus hero vi driver updates there were 4 different ones for the chipset:

            -Intel(R) Management Engine Interface V9.5.14.1724 for Windows 7/8/8.1 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL)

            -Intel(R) Chipset Software Installation Utility V9.4.0.1026 for Windows 7/8/8.1 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL)

            -Intel Chipset Driver V9.4.0.1017 for Windows 7 32/64bit & Windows 8 32/64bit.(WHQL)

Do I need all three of these for the chipset or just one?
